About this event

Join the Florida Historic Capitol Museum and The Grove Museum for a Virtual Storytime session, follow by a virtual craft demonstration. When registering for a free session, you will have the option to pick from the following titles and associated activities:

  • Goodbye Summer, Hello Autumn by Kenard Pak (Pre-K to 2nd); Leaf rubbings
  • Fry Bread: A Native American Family Story by Kevin Noble Maillard (Pre-K to 1st); Paper basket weaving
  • House Mouse, Senate Mouse by Peter Barnes and Cheryl Shaw Barnes (1st to 2nd); Patriotic headband
  • Voting with a Porpoise by Russell Glass and Sean Callahan (Pre-K to 2nd); Vote flag or 'I Voted' sticker
  • Lillian's Right to Vote by Jonah Winter (Kindergarten to 4th); Vote flag or 'I Voted' sticker
  • What Can a Citizen Do? by Dave Eggers (Pre-K to Kindergarten); Kindness craft

Instructions for the craft and meeting information for the virtual platform of your choice will be provided in a confirmation email after registration. Participation requires that teachers have access to Zoom or Microsoft Teams.

We ask that you sign up at least 48 hours in advance.
